Divorce! The Musical is definitely a play for everyone—absolutely brilliant! I haven’t had this much fun in a musical in a long time. If you’re single, you should go to see what you have to look forward to; if you’re married, you should go see how to avoid an unwanted end to your union; if you’re divorced, you should go for a little perspective on what you have been through. The acting and lyrics to the musical captured me and the audience the entire time without missing a beat.

The play is a humorous production about a couple falling in love, getting hitched and then, due to life’s little bumps, finding their life unraveling. Lowe Taylor, playing the showbiz wanna-be wife, and Rick Segall, playing the successful doctor-husband, both deserve accolades. They had me engaged from the first number, “Til Death Do Us Part.” Gabrielle Wagner is the stereotypical marriage counselor—you know, the one you look at and wonder why you actually went to her! Then, there are the lawyers, Leslie Stevens and Gabrielle Wagner. With lawyers like these, you’ll think twice before getting a divorce. The acting is off the charts, and the actors excel at conveying the range of emotions in the play—from humor to the real pain and drama so many go through in this situation.

What else is there? Let’s just say that, at the end of the musical, I hugged my wife and told her how much I loveeeed her…
