Christy Dusablon checks in with her weekly exhibit, chef and theater picks for this week’s art dating and matchmaking
Ambrogi Castanier Gallery is currently displaying Four Months in Heaven, a solo exhibition by Vahe Berberian running now through May 24th. The gallery employs artists with a sense of presence and a raw touch; Vahe Berberian is no stranger to creating this sort of powerful work.
The Ivy is a quaint restaurant tucked behind a white picket fence and accented by French-style chairs that have adorned many a celebrity derriere. The scene is nothing less than classy, and the fare is traditional American, bringing comfort food to a whole new level with fresh corn chowder, mesquite-grilled Cajun prime rib and fried chicken. In short, The Ivy is a place to see and be seen.
The Beverly Hills Playhouse is running DREAM MAN through June 1st. It’s written by James Carroll Pickett, directed by Michael Kearns, and starring Jimmy Shaw. The play — about a phone sex hustler named Christopher — takes monologues to completely new level.
